Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Severe pain in left thigh & leg, heart burn,
indigestion , over weight numbness all these symptoms may be due to ,
1 Hyper cholestrolemia , due to this the blood supply hampers in thigh and leg so there develops pain and also numbness .
When you lie down the blood supply ( venous drainage improve )improve so get relief .
The
heartburn and indigestion are due to
overweight and tension . Tension produce hyper acidity which further develops heart burn , bloating and indigestion.
For this please take antacid , but if symptoms are severe than you need
proton pump inhibitors.
For heart burn avoid eating or drinking two hours before you lie down.
Now main question is excruciating pain in thigh and leg as I , mentioned above may be due to
high cholesterol , diagnosis can be confirmed by
angiography of both legs and then consult a vascular surgeon.
2 Raunaud's disease is the next reason , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon with complete history of illness as smoking etc.
3 May be due to myopathy , diagnosis can be confirmed by muscular study.
In my opinion consult a vascular surgeon and get his opinion .
Till try to reduce the weight .
Good luck. Dr. HET
