Pain In Upper Pelvis Towards Groin Muscles. Pulled Calf Muscle Doing Splits. Danced Too Much. What Should I Do?

I m a dancer and cheerleader... have a few problems...1) pain in my side when I try to rotate to the right which also prevents me from doing the bridge stretch 2) pain in my side upper pelvis, on the right as well, following down towards my groin muscles (had grade 3 pulled groin muscles last year) 3) feel as though my leg pops out of its socket from my hip and makes a clicking sound… when this happens it sends shooting pain in my hip and on my side 4) pretty sure I pulled my hamstring which could be the reason for pain in my knee and quads? 5) I think I pulled my calf muscle doing the splits w/o warming up 6) car door closed on my ankle and then I over trained and danced too much on it. What should I do??

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

The fact that your pain is occuring with movements indicates a muscle strain. Any strained muscle when stretched gives severe pain.

I advice you to follow the below mentioned guidelines -

* Give adequate rest to the involved muscle group and avoid any movement that causes pain
* Ice packing once in every 2 hours over the affected area
* Moist heat application to relax the muscles
* Local application of muscle relaxant gel
* Analgesic medications as needed

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
