Pain In Urethra. Trouble Sitting Or Standing. Why Is Lip Discolored?
For the past month my daughter has had pain in her urethra and feels like she constantly needs to void pediatricin is referring her on to urology but in the meantime now cannot sit without on and is feeling the need to urinate every 2 minutes literally and the past two days that has been worse but also now has a discoloration above her upper lip looking like she drank grape juice. Don t know if they are related but unsure what to do bc waiting to get into specialist
Probably your daughter is suffering from urinary tract infection as she has pain and increased frequency of urination.
I would advise you to give her plenty of fluids to drink , provided her kidney functions are normal. Has her urine routine examination, kidney function tests, ultrasound of the abdomen been done?
Keep the perineal region clean and dry. After urination ,wash the area with warm water and keep it dry with the help of toilet paper.
I know this is a sensitive issue. How old is your daughter? Is she under your supervision all the time? Do you think abuse by somebody as a possibility?
I hope you get an appointment with the urologist at the earliest.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
