Pain Under Left Breast, Chest Cold, Coughing Greenish Mucus, Fatigue. Any Ideas?
I am 65 yr old female. I have been experiencing pain just under my left breast for some time. The last 4 days I have had a severe chest cold.....coughing up greenish mucus, feeling hot and sweaty, extreme fatigue and the pain has worsened. Any thoughts on what may be cause of the pain? Also am wondering if perhaps I have walking pneumonia.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having acute lower respiratory tract infection giving rise to pleuritic pain. Go for CBC and X ray chest to rule out pneumonia. Consult physician and get examined. Ok and take care.
From your symptoms, it looks like you are suffering from respiratory infection or possible pneumonia. The pain under left breast might be due to straining in chest muscles after repeated coughing.
Please consult a doctor immediately and you may require a course of antibiotics. A chest X ray might also be done if felt necessary.
You also need to eat healthy food and take some rest.
Hope this helps.
