Painful Hand, Wrist And Knuckles, Have Carpal Tunnel, Numbness. Why The Intense Discomfort?
I have pain on the back of my left hand starting at my wrist extending to my first knuckle of all my fingers. The pain is constant and achy. Onset today. I work at a keyboard all day. It lessens when I close my hand. When I open my hand all the way, the pain increases. I have carpal tunnel in my right hand. The onset of it was numbness in my ring finger. What do think this might be in my left hand with symptoms being totally different than what I experienced in my right hand? It's quite uncomfortable..... WWW.WWWW.WW
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The intense discomfort in the hand and knuckles is due to the inflammation of the tendons. Taking anti inflammatory injections and local steroid injections will help in reducing the discomfort. You can use a brace for relief. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
