Painful Knot On The Outside Of Left Calf That Comes And Goes. What Is This ?
I have a knot on the outside of my left calf. It comes and goes and is painful. My leg has aching and burning when the knot show up and travels up behind my knee and into my thigh sometimes. It looks from your details that most probably you are having a cyst at your knee. This cyst may be a BAKER CYST or a bursitis (swelling of sacs behind knee). This problem is generally seen with arthritis knee. You should consult to your orthopedic doctor .These problems can be diagnosed by having a good clinical examination.
Baker cyst can easily treated by aspiration & injection of steroid in joint.
Hope this will help you.
With best wishes.
