Painful Lump Below Lower Right Rib Cage Area. Liver Function Tests Normal. Any Thoughts ?

41 year old healthy male here. I have a small 1-1.5" lump just below my lower right rib cage area. The lump is painful to the touch. I have had it for about 6 weeks. When I initially discovered the lump it was only painful to the touch. Now I have some discomfort after sitting for some time - as if my organs are putting pressure on the area. So far I have had an ultrasound and blood work to check liver function. Results were normal. Dr. thinks it's just my rib, but my wife and I can tell a difference between what i feel on the right side and the left side. Dr doesn't seem concerned. Your thoughts, please?

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having costo-chondritis giving rise this problem.
There might be having possibility of having infected sebaceous cyst on the site.
consult your doctor and discuss about this.
Ok and take care.
