Painful Pressure In Collar Bone, Rib Cage Area Pain, Torso Area Feel Strange, Difficulty Breathing. What Is The Reason?
For the past two weeks, my16-yr old grandson has been experiening painful pressure from his collar bone to the bottom of his rib cage when he is at rest. The pressure comes in waves, and is felt around the entire torso (front and back). He feels no pain when he presses on his sternum, and does not experience difficulty breathing as this occurs.
Thanks for your health concerns. It is an interesting constellation of symptoms affecting your grandson; given his young age and the nature of these symptoms, issues such as vascular malformations, aneurysms, etc need to be ruled out; he needs to be seen by a physician (could be a pediatrician given age) who can perform a through physical examination and decide if advanced imaging, such as CT or MRI would be warranted.
Hope this is useful, wish you both th best health, blessings,
