Painful Swallowing After Swallowing Full Malteser. Is This Possibly Due To Damage To Skin Tissue In Throat?
I swallowed a ful molteaser by an acsident then it got stuk in my throught for around 2-4 seconds and then finally whent down my throught. It is now two daysater and it still really hurts to swallow.can you give me any idea of why it hurts to swallow? Will it if scrapt the skin or tissue of the inside of my throuht? Will it heal if so how long. Many thanks
Thank you for consulting HCM. Yes it is likely that there was trauma to the lining of your esophagus (food pipe)and it is causing pain while swallowing. You should avoid taking solid food for 3-4 days to let it heal and have semi solid food and liquids for a few days like custard jelly porridge soup etc. Hopefully you will be fine in a few days. regards.
