Hello, Thanks for posting your worries. I will like to know for how long you have been presenting with these symptoms. If it is just a single episode then we could think of urethral trauma due to sex ( but very very rare). Now if symptoms are persistent at least for a couple of days or even just an episode, there are a good number of possibilities, it could be complicated urinary tract infection (UTI) or a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Diagnosis of either condition would require laboratory work-up like urine analysis/culture and test for STI ( generally syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, T. vaginalis etc). A kidney ultrasound would also be well indicated to rule out kidney infection, kidney stones or other kidney diseases. The confirmatory diagnosis needs to be done before you can debut antibiotics to avoid giving antibiotics when it is just trauma or other kidney affection order than an infection. I suggest you see your doctor for review and proper medications. Hope this helps
