Palms Turned Blueish To Purpleish. Smoking And Drinking. Anything To Worry?
Hi, I am 46 years old.. Single Parent of 3 sons.. at times I wonder bout my health.. I started drinking beer at the age of 18 on occasional weekends.. I enjoy the relaxing feeling.... as time went by I made it a habbit of every Friday I went out and drank to socialize.. it continued through the years.. I drink to relax and have fun socializing with my friends..at times through the years I drank 2 to three times a week..I would say I can drink bout a twelf pack maybe a litte more..I have always said, one day Im gonna stop but instead bout at the age of 40 i lost my job and been drinking up to 3 or 4 times a week...and about 1 year ago I started smoking cigarets.. I feel great, but wonder how it might affect my health later in life.. just yesterday the palm of my hands turned blueish to purpleish. not sure if it was because of drinking??? just a little concerned
Dear, Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. In any case you need to stop drinking now. Some doctors may consider drinking little may not be harmful. But in actuality even small quantities may be hrmful in some cases. Lever is the organ which saves our body from alcohol's poisonous effect by absorbing its harmful contents, in turn lever becomes sick slowly and steadily. Know this fact. We are actually jeopardising our lever just for sake of fun. Quit drinking. It is easy. Just determine.
