Pap Smear Test Done. Have Continuous Bleeding, Irregular Period Problem, PCOD Patient. Taking Ecoflora, Krimson. Solution?
I have got my Pap smear test done. Result is as below:
1. Satisfactory for evaluation 2. Cellular smears show superficial and intermediate squamous epithelial cells along with clusters of unremarkable endocervical cells. 3. Background shows plenty of polymorphs. 4. No dysplastic or Malignant cells seen.
** Normal Smear**
I have continuous spotting and post coital bleeding problem along with irregular period problem. While internal check up, Doctor told me that i have left side erosion as well and also I am a PCOD patient.
I am really worried abt the continuous bleeding problem. Please advice.
Hi, As you are diagnosed to be suffering from PCOD, your continuous bleeding can be explained to be caused by the hormonal disturbances that are seen in PCOD. You would need a complete evaluation including hormonal profile, glucose tolerance test, trans-vaginal sonogram ans serum DHEAS levels. Treatment should be based on the particular hormonal defect. Maintenance of a healthy weight along with regular exercise help a lot. Your pap smear is normal but please have a yearly followup. Erosion also can cause post-coital bleeding and this can be treated easily. The medication you have been prescribed is sufficient; addition of metformin is always good when trying to treat PCOD. Hope this helps.
