Parkinson S Disease Occurs At An Elevated Rate In Regions That Have Relatively High Radon Levels In Homes. Evidence?
Researchers found that radon, and radon progeny, get into the brain. The resulting radiation include emissions of alpha, beta and gamma radiation. Parkinson's disease occurs at an elevated rate in regions that have relatively high radon levels in homes.
1. What further evidence is needed before medical professionals become involved in determining the dangers of radon the lungs?
2. Should medical professionals recommend that patients reduce the levels of radon in their homes?
Hello. There is evidence linking high levels of radon with lung cancer. Radon is the second cause of lung cancer in some countries. The relationship between high levels of radon and pathologies of the central nervous system(Alzheimer, Parkinson and brain tumor) has not yet sufficient evidence.Accordingly,Medical Professionals should alert the population of the adverse effects on the lungs of high levels of radon in blood. I wish you good health. (If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
