Parkinson's Disease. Had Angioplasty And Got Two Stents. Done With Haemogram. What Is The Cause And The Findings From Report?

My father, who is 71 years old, North-Indian, had an angioplasty and got 2 stents last month. He's been feeling weak since then. He also has early Parkinson's disease, for which he is taking medication.His Haemogram gave the following impression:
RBCs are closely placed, show moderate anisopoikilocytosis, many microcytes, few elliptical cells seen, hypochromia moderate.
WBCs are adequate in number and normal in morphology.
Platelets are adequate in number.
No immature cells or haemoparasites seen.
Imp:Microcytic Hypochromatic Smear with Erythrocytosis.
What could be the cause of the above?

Firstly as blood picture is showing microcytic hypochromatic smear most common cause for this pcture is iron deficiency, can also be due to some kind of blood loss from body, some of hereditary anaemias, sometimes any chronic disease can also lead to this type.
Most important is that you should get his complete blood count done can help to find cause.

Secondly erythrocytosis is high number of red blood cells increasing the thickness of blood causing it viscous which can also lead to thrombosis.
This can be either due to abnormality in bone marrow primarily.

Most commonly it often develops from another disease which can stimulate the production of red blood cells, those which cause low oxygen level in blood for eg. any lung disease, and secondly due to increased erythropoietin which forms red blood cells in body.
