Participated In Study, Links Heart Disease With Bipolar Disorder. Used A Machine. What Is It Called?
Hi today I participated in a study that links heart disease with bipolar disorder. They used a machine on me that I think monitors blood markers or vessels or something along those lines by putting my index fingers in these cuffs for 7 minutes and then adding pressure with a cuff to my left arm for another 3 minutes. You wouldn't know what this machine is called, would you?
In most of the trials, the doctor or the patient are not allowed to know many things - to avoid influencing the outcome - "Double Blind" studies...
It does not seem reasonable or realistic to suggest some suitable solutions - - with the incomplete information...
Such a 'machine' usually records heart rate / blood pressure / Oxygen saturation / rarely other parameters...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
