Partner Has Itching In Penis. No Burning, Odor. Used A OTC Yeast Infection Ointment. STD?

Hello. I am a 45-year-old female in a monogamous relationship with a 50-year-old male. My partner has had frequent urination for the past week or two with no other symptoms. Today, he started complaining of itching in the penis with no burning sensation, odor or discharge. He recently purchased some OTC yeast infection ointment. I am assuming this has been something he used prior for similar symptoms.

I am concerned that he may be suffering from an STD. I, on the other hand, is without any symptoms of that sort. We have unproted sex and I am very concerned. What could he be sufferring from?

Hi Dear
Welcome to Health Care Magic
You and your partner both should undergo some investigations like urine routine/ microscopic examination, culture of urine to rule out some infection. And also you should be investigated for fungal or other vaginal infection.
Another very important point he should also test his blood sugar fasting and two hours after meals. And accordingly he should be treated.
Hope your query is answered
Thanks

Hello,
You had sex with monogamous relationship with a 50-year-old male. Now he is having an itching penis for which he has used OTC antifungal ointment (seems that he is already using). Hope you don't have itching. Anyhow treatment for itching should be taken by both simultaneously, to prevent further recurrence. Not only ointment, oral anti fungal, anti allergic, antibiotics, avoiding soap application for few days may be needed along with proper hygiene of sexual parts.
Regarding the excessive urination of your partner - better check for DM and rule out DM. If he is a known diabetic - look for its control.
otherwise nothing to worry.
Best wishes
