Partners Tested With Chlamydia And Gonorrhoea. No Extra Marital Affairs. Cause For Two Different Disease?

Hello I have just been tested positive for chlyamdia. I have been happily married for over a year and I take my vows very serious. I have NOT cheated on my husband and he has NOT cheated on me. He went to the doctor and they said he has gonorrhea . How is it possible for the both of us to have two different diseases but neither one of us has been with anyone else?

Welcome to HCM.
If you are so sure of fidelity of your partner, there is a possibility of Sexually transmitted infection occurring due to more than one microbe. Your partner might be infected with both Chlamydia and Gonococci and you have acquired the chlamydial infection. Superimposition of two infections is common in patients whose immunity is low. But how your partner has acquired infection still needs to be traced.
Now it is better for both of you to get treated as soon as possible.
