Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
First of all I will try to explain that what are the symptoms of PCOD ,so that you can understand easily about various symptoms that why they occurs.
P C O D is a most common disease in young female now days , exact etiology is not known.
Note the symptoms,
1 Androgen excess manifesting as Hirsutism & acne.
2 Menstrual irregularities , dysfunctional uterine bleeding, scanty menstruation or amenorrhea,
3 Obesity with glucose intolerance. ( increase in the weight is due to this reason)
4 Alteration in LH/FSH ratio.
5 Elevated testosterone and androgen level , causes excessive hairs growth in female ( as in your case,)
6 Ultrasound finding, of atretric follicles with increased ovarian stroma.
Now coming to your complaint , you understand that why weight increase, why hairs , why acne..
Any main question can conceive.
I would like to say yes you can conceive , but it depends upon the size of follicles , its maturation , burst and liberation of ovum.
Further level of F S H & L H premenstrual phase , luteal phase , so consult an infertility specialist and get his opinion and treatment.
GOOD LUCK.

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
If you were underweight before & you have attained a normal BMI now then this is good for you, otherwise weight gain ( or being over weight) has a negative impact on fertility of patients with PCOD.
If you are not having periods, ovulation is also unlikely. This is a must for fertility.
So, please consult a fertility specialist or Gynecologist for ovulation induction if you want to conceive within one year.
Best of luck.
