Periodic Twitching On The Arm Post Using Patch For Smoking Cessation. How Long Will It Take To Recover?

A year ago, I tried to quit smoking with the patch but ended up stuck on the first level. During that time, I did not properly rotate the patch, but instead too often wore it on one arm . Shortly after that, I noticed my arm twitching rather protractedly and still notice that it still does so every so often. My question is: does nicotine leave muscle tissue and how long does this take?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The periodic twitching can be due to a mild nerve damage or irritation in the area. It will gradually improve in 3-4 weeks.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
