Periodically I Suffer From What I Can Best Describe As

Periodically I suffer from what I can best describe as a storm with in my brain, which comes across slowly at first building up and then begin to somewhat incapacitate me for a moment. It starts at the crown of my head and begins to spread draining my energy to the point where I have to close my eyes and give into it as it passes. The time period of this storm last about 10 seconds or so and then it's gone. Usually when I have one it is often followed by 5 to 10 within a day. Sometimes there can be multiple "storms" within a 20 minute period or a couple with in an hour. I'm 52 years old and this has been occurring for the past 4 years. I've researched a conditioned called encephalitis and it appears to be the closest thing that matches my symptoms.
