Periods Are Late. Have Light Brown Spotting. MULTIPLE Negative HPT's. Mild Nausea. Pregnant?

I am currently 26 days late for my period. I have NEVER been this late (or missed a period) before. I did have some light brown spotting at the time my period was supposed to start and that lasted (off and on) for about a week, give or take a day or two. I have had MULTIPLE negative HPT's. I am planning to go to a lab and get a blood test done (no insurance), in the next two weeks if I haven't started a period by then. In addition to the missed period and spotting, I have been experiencing mild nausea throughout the day for the last couple of weeks. I don't FEEL pregnant, though.
Basically, what I am asking is when should I expect my next period to show up (if it is going to) and is it logical to go ahead with a blood test even though I don't feel "pregnant?"

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

It is logical to go ahead for a blood test or other test such
as a pelvic ultrasound i order to be sure or to rule out the
pregnancy.

this is so because it is possible to have negative pregnancy
test results in the case where you used expired test strips
or where the concentration of the hormone being tested is
low.

Missed period and spotting is a combination of symptoms that
requires that an ectopic pregnancy be ruled out first and secondly
that hormonal disequilibrium related causes such as PCOS be ruled
out as well.

You should meet your gynecologist for consultation and follow ups.

Best regards and hope this helps you
