Periods Delayed Few Months After Delivery. Pregnancy Test Negative. Why I Am Bleeding During Foreplay And After Every Intercourse?
Hi, I have recently had a baby who is 4 months of age. 2 weeks after labour and when the bleeding was minimal I began having my periods again which is normal. The next month I got my period as normal and the same for the next month. But this month I have missed my period and it is now 4 weeks late. I have taken pregnancy tests at home and at the doctors but all have returned negative. The doctors carried out a urine test and saw white blood cells in my first test and nothing in my second but came back clear of any sexually transmitted diseases. I still have not got my period but my partner and I have noticed that mainly during foreplay (fingering) I bleed. This has happened EVERY time we have intercourse. I just bleeds at that time and after intercourse I just wipe it away and that's all the bleeding there is, it does not continue. What is happening to my body?
You need proper clinical examination and investigations. Bleeding during intercourse may be due to problems in cervix, uterus or adnexal organs. It may be due to infection, tumour etc. You also need local examination. Ultrasound of pelvis,Pap smear should also be done.Further investigations depends upon clinical findings and investigation reports.
