Pimples In Vagina Burst And Bleed, Swollen Vagina At Night, Post Menopause And Not Active Sexually, Hpv Test Negative
Had a large pimple inside vaginal lips . It burst and bled. Within a few days noticed vaginal lips are swelling, especially at night. Area is very uncomfortable and I am having difficulty sleeping because of soreness and swelling. Saw a new gyne (my reg relocated) but got no answers. Now two weeks since gyne appt and it is getting worse. I am 57, post menopause and not sexually active for several years. Have a past history of positive hpv , but had been testing negative for hpv for at least 8 or 10 years. Last pap was 2 years ago. Please help. Thanks.
It must have been a bartholin's cyst which has ruptured. As it has spread to the surrounding area there is likelihood of infection. As you are sexually not active there is a possibility of it being due to diabestes as well for which you need to get your sugars checked. It would be advisable to consult a gynaecologist to evaluate the lesion rather than speculating the diagnosis. In view of your age it is best to act promptly.
