Planning For A C Section & Noticed Watery Pink Discharge & Slight Cramping
Hi I'm 37 weeks and 3 days pregnent , I'm booked in for a c section on the 8th jan. I had my mucus plug come out last Monday and now I have waterery White discharge with a very pale pink colour in it coming out. I do have slight cramps in my stomach and back but have been on and off all week ?
Hi, Thanks for the query. As you are having pink colored discharge with cramps better to get examined to rule out the possibility of onset of labor pains. During early labor blood stained mucus plug can be seen, which is called show. Watery discharge may indicate amniotic fluid leak sometimes, so better to consult gynecologist once and get examined. In case of onset of labor pains or amniotic fluid leak, you may need to go for emergency cesarean section. If pains subside and there is no leakage of amniotic fluid you can continue the pregnancy till the date of elective section. Take care.
