Planning For A Baby. Diagnosed With High Glucose Level, Vitamin D Deficiency. Will It Risk Foetus In Future?
Hi Doctor.! I'm 27 years - married woman Recently diagnosed high glucose levels and Vitamin D deficiency. i have started taking medication for diabetes and yet to treat Vitamin D. We are planning to have a kid, would my health issues affect the foetus in any way.? Is it advisable to have a baby now or would you advice me to treat these and plan after couple of months
hello dear, thanks for your query at health care magic, both diabetes and vitamin d deficiency can effect the fetus . if you can wait its better these diseases to come under control and then you can conceive baby. if not under endocrinologist guidance you can conceive baby by controlling diabetes and taking vitamin d supplements. regards.
Hello, Although control of diabetes can be achieved in couple of weeks but VIT D deficiency would take at least few months to become all right after starting VIT D supplementation. In my opinion you should wait for couple of months and then plan for your baby. Thanks
