Please Advice If Need To Change My Epilepsy Medicine Due To Side Effects
i am 35 years old married businessman. i have epilipsy scince childhood and taking madecine from last 20 years due to taking madecine dicorate er 500 twice a day there are so many problems with me like acidity, hairloss,weightgain ,angerness etc please advice me can i change the madecine for side effects
Hello! I've read your question carefully. I would have liked more information although. If these symptoms started from the beginning of the treatment you should have been in contact with your neurologist to evaluate the improvement vs the side effects. These symptomps that you have are low frequecy side effects of the drug. If those started lately you should evaluate if something has changed in your life (like the diet, testosterone level, anxiety disorders etc) I would suggest strongly for you to see your neurologist. If you have been seizure free from a lot of time (over two years) he may suggest to try to discontinue the drug gradually, or if you need to continue an epilepsy medication he can suggest the examinations to exclude other causes for your symptoms.
