Prescribed Epilive For Epilepsy. Side Effects?

My query is regarding Epilive. My husband have epilepsy for last 6 years. Doctor has recently given Epilive 500 -0- 1000. As he had fix frequently doctor has changed his dose from 750 to 1000mg . Is there any side effects for this medicine. Previously he was taking torvate 500mg and 1000mg. Due to that medicine is ands were shivering, so doctor has changed to Epilive.

Hello,
The dose of Epilive ( LEVETIRACETUM ) is maximum 3000 mg a day in adults.
Normalky this drug is started in dose of 500 mg twice a day and then it is gradually increased over a period of many weeks ,till therapeutic response to the patient occurs.
The known side effects of this are nausea,loss of appetite,depression,dizziness,diarrhea,headache,vertigo,loss of memory,tremors etc but these effects are not found with every patient.
You must give the medicine as advised and have faith and confidence in the wisdom of doctor.
