Please Elaborate On The Following Neck USG: Borderline Lymph Node Identified In Submandibular Region/submental Region Measuring 1.5 * 0.9 Cm In Size?
helo Dr i had an ultrasound for my neck, i got this conclusion: Borderline lymph node identified in the submandibular region/submental region measuring 1.5 * 0.9 cm in size. can you please give me more details about this? is it possible that i might have a disease?
Borderline enlarged lymph node is most likely due to infection in throat region. It is important to know age and symptoms of the patient. If infection is the etiology then full course of antibiotics should be prescribed. Mostly enlarged lymph node in this region is due to benign causes and it resolves with the treatment of underlying cause. Hope i have answered your query.
