Please Suggest Any Methods Of Preventing Chicken Pox
Hi. I am 23 years. Few days ago my colleague working with me was ill and i had taken him to the hospital. he was diagnosed to have chicken pox. My uncle told me that since i had contact with him during his illness i can also get the infection. Is it true? Please help me and suggest any methods of preventing it. Thanks to all
If you are to get it, you will get it no matter what. If your immune system is strong, you will get a milder form, if not then severity of symptoms will be more. once the diagnosis is confirmed then antiviral medications will be started for you.
if u already suffered from chickenpox or already vaccinated against this by vaccine than there is very less chance of infection to u. if both of above situation not, than there is chance of infection to u. u can receive chicken pox vaccine within 5 days of contact as early as possible. u should receive 2 doses, 1 month apart.
Chicken pox is a viral infection that spreads through contact. If affects individual who are less immune to the infection. Immunity to this infection is developed by an episode of infection or through vaccination.
So if you have had this infection in the past or if you have been vaccinated against chicken pox then the chances of you getting infected with chicken pox is low.
