I have a question about my step father. He was just admitted to the hospital for what they thought was pnemonia. The doctor came in last night and said that he is not 100% sure that it is pnemonia. Both lungs are cloudy on the x ray. He is also suffering from C Diff right now. What could it be? He went to ER last night because he started coughing up blood .
Hi
Thanks for your query
Its really tough to give you the diagnoses without viewing the chest x-ray image. But cloudy lung field with hemoptysis may occur in many diseases like tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchogenic carcinoma, heart causes etc. I advise you to visit a pulmonologist and get yourself locally examined and go for some further investigations as per physical examination findings to prove the diagnosis conclusively.
Thank you.
