Hello sir i had a surgery 6 months ago due to pneumonia which they put tube through lungs to get the mucus out also know asfluid after that i got a cough now when i got sick last week alot i went to a doctor they did my chest x ray and tb test and cancer test tb and cancer test showed negative but the chest x ray looked that i have a lung infection on my left lung its like a pneumonia again what should i do now?
You should be followed up by a Pulmonologist... Blood counts and sputum culture are basic. You may need CT scan of the chest and/or Bronchoscopy and biopsy

Hello, Recurrence of Pneumonia is common in many patients. Because it is a deep seated infection. Secondly immunosuppressive conditions like Diabetes also contributes for the recurrence. So you may need to 1. Screen for Diabetes. 2. Blood and Sputum culture and sensitivity 3. Full course of Antibiotics based on the sensitivity report. 4. Chest physiotherapy for effective drainage of the secretions.
