Poorly Defined In Homogeneous Opacity Of Lungs, What Does It Mean ?
I am a male of 64 years old and have been reported with: Lungs- poorly defined inhhomogeneous opacity is noted in the left lower zone followe by left sided consolidation in the impression section. What shall I take and the doctor suspects it pneumonic and prescribe tab. claricin and Cap. Tcef accordingly. I want to ensure if it is rightly diagnosed?
Hello Mr.Delwar hossain;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The poorly defined inhomogeneous opacity in left lower zone followed by consolidation can be mostly a patch of Pneumoia .Please see the other symptoms also whether you had high grade fever;cough;body pain;pain in chest on left side and even chills.If you had any of the associated symptoms then you are in all probability suffering from Pneumonia for which your doctor has rightly prescribed antibiotic like Claricin and Tcef.Please take the treatment as advised and you should be fine.
Thanks
