Popping Knee When Bending, Painful, Burning Sensation. Should I Go To The Doctor?
Hello, I went to sit on the floor indian style and my knee popped really loud and when I got up my knee felt like it needed to pop again. The same night I went to bed and don t know what I did but my knee cracked and popped (hurt) but no relief. It feels unstable with a burning sensation. Should I go see my primary doc.? What could I have done?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,
Feeling a crunching or hearing a popping sound when bending the knee, such as when bending down into a squat, are signs that cartilage has worn away and is not protecting the bones from friction. It is a feature of knee osteoarthritis.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful
