Positive Pregnancy Test. Done USG, No Fetal Cardiac Pole, Gestational Sac And Yolk Scene. What Is The Next Step?
HELLO Manjunath SIR, my wife's pregnancy is detected on 07.11.13, pregnancy is positive, after USG report there is no fetal cardiac pole yet not seen, report details are mentioned below:-
LMP- 26/09/2013 GA by LMP- 6 weeks 4 days
A single intrauterine gestational sac of MSD 12 MM Avg gestation of 6 weeks 0 days
Yolk Sac seen
our Doctor suggest me we should wait for 2 weeks after that we can go for another USG.
Sir please say me there is a possibility of Heart Beat development in this case or is there any treatment to improve the development of cardiac pole seen. please suggest me what should we do, we have faith in our doctor but i just checking any else treatment is there for the same mention ed purpose.
Hello, If your wife has regular 28-30 day cycles, going by the last menstrual period, fetal cardiac activity should be visible in a trans-vaginal sonogram by now. Failure to detect so could happen due to poor visualization, delayed conception or a missed abortion. Repeat sonogram with high resolution coupled with serial serum beta-hCG titres is of much benefit as doubling titres every 2-3 days indicate good progress of the pregnancy.
