Positive Pregnancy Test, Spotting, Closed Cervix, Active Bleeding. Miscarriage Occurred?
hi, my last period was 8/20/2012. i recieved a positive pregnancy test . i start spotting over the weekend and went to the ER and was checked. my cervix was still closed and the doctor said it wasnt alot of blood . this morning i started activley bleeding . i am having hot flashes. Just feeling real hot. Would that confirm i am miscarrying?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting and bleeding in early pregnancy can be due to threatened or missed abortion, ectopic pregnancy or subchorionic hemorrhage. Closed cervix with bleeding can be due to any of these. An ultrasound would confirm the diagnosis. I would suggest you to get an ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis and get further management accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful.
