Post Surgery Question After Septal Surgery For My Deviated Septum.

Post surgery question after septal surgery for my deviated septum.

I just have a question regarding the use of Naseptin cream for my nose. After my surgery, I was showed by the nurse on how to take all my prescripted medicines except how to apply the Naseptin into my nostrils as she was rushed to close the ward and my nose was packed with blooded dressing. I called my GP today as my surgeon could not be reach under NHS system. He made me realised I had been applying the Naseptin cream incorrectly. I just squeezed some in without gently patting it on the side. My prescription says use the cream for 10 days and stop. Since I have been using the cream incorrectly for 8 days, do I still need to stop after 10 days? Please help!
