Pounding Head, Neck Hurts On Right Side. What Is The Problem?
For a week now my head has been pounding when I stand up or bend over. It is mostly in the back of my head, and the pounding is worse than it was when it started. At the beginning there was only the pain when I stood, but now there is some overall pain at all times. Also, yesterday my neck began to hurt some, especially on the right side. I have never had a headache before.

I should emphasize that it is difficult to make a diagnosis without examining you. However, the possibilities include cervical sprain or disc prolapse and muscle tension headache.
You may take analgesics such as diclofenac or ibuprofen. If these medications are helpful, then it is alright. However, if the pain continues, you may consult a doctor.

Based on details you have occipitonuchal headache and mainly right side which was initially worsened on standing and bending.
This type of headache is seen mostly in postural hypotension,Tension type headache and in R) brain structural lesion.Hence it has to be confirmed by clinical examination (neurological and blood pressure).
I suggest you to consult Neurophysician for further evalaution ( CT scan brain) and management
