Pregnancy Test Positive. Gave Prolotun Injection, Progestron Hormone. No Increase In HCG Hormone In Urine. Why?

Hi Doctor,
I have done pregnancy test using clear blue digital tester and that show i was pregant for 1 to 2 week. But had feeling to get period any time soon and also light period pain. I consulted doctor and he had give me prolotun 250 mg injection every 3 days and progestron hormone 10 mg , 2 times a day. I have done pregnancy test again after 5 days but the test still show the same pregnant for 1 to 2 week. Do i really pregnant ? or maybe because of prolotun injection no increase HCG hormone in urine

Hi,
In the current scenario, you should test for serum beta-hCG levels along with a trans-vaginal sonogram if you are about 10 days past your dates. The blood test will give you a definite confirmation of pregnancy and the sonogram will give you the exact period of gestation and viability. Interference with the pregnancy test can happen when external hCG injections are given as in IVF procedures; apart from that progesterone does not give you false readings. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
