Pregnancy Ultrasound Showing No Fetal Heartbeat. Black Vaginal Discharge. Worried
MY WIFE IS PREGNANT. ON THE 6TH WEEK WE HAVE DONE ULTRA SOUND. BUR THE DOCTOR SAID THAT THE HEART BEAT IS NOT FOUND. SO SHE ASK US TO MAKE THE TEST AGAIN AFTER 2 WEEKS. BUT TODAY SHE HAS SOME PROBLEM IN HER STOMACH AND WHEN SHE GOES TO THE LATRINE SHE FOUND THAT SOME BLACK COLORED THING IS COMING OUT. WE ARE VERY TENSED. PLEASE ADVISE US.
HELLO
IN A NORMAL PREGNANCY CARDIAC ACTIVITY{HEART BEAT} CAN BE DETECTED BY ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND BY 7 WEEKS.IF IT IS NOT DETECTED WE ADVISE REPEAT ULTRASOUND 2 WEEKS LATER. A TRANS VAGINAL ULTRASOUND IS MORE CONCLUSIVE.HOWEVER IN CHANCES OF DELAYED CONCEPTION,WHICH MEANS THE LAST MENSTRUAL DATE DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO THE FETAL AGE, A WAIT AND WATCH POLICY IS FOLLOWED.IF THE PATIENT HAS COMPLAINTS LIKE SPOTTING OR BLEEDING PER VAGINUM, ASSOCIATED WITH ABDOMINAL PAIN, THE CHANCES OF ABORTION IS MORE LIKELY.
