Pregnant. Done Thyroid Function Test. Are The Findings In Normal Range?
Hi..Iam 11 weeks pregnant..My Thyroid functions tests results are below. Tri Iodothyronine (T3) results are 2.71 ng/ml Thyroxine (T4) results are 10.06 mcg/dl Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) results are 7.43 mcIU/ml Prolactin Level is 88.87 ng/ml Please let me know if the above results are normal or is there anything to worry about? Iam worried about the baby brain development as few says my thyroid levels are quite high.
Hello.The only value that this increase is the Tsh.Your results meana that you have called subclinical hypothyroidism (thyroid hypofunction without symptoms). Hypothyroidism is a very common pathology in pregnancy.You must go to an endocrinologist.With appropriate controls will exist no consequences for you or your baby.I wish you good health (If the answer has helped you,please indicate this)
