Pregnant. Had Anemia And Placenta Previa, Getting Braxton Hicks. Preterm Baby?
Hi I am 33 weeks pregnant and have given birth to my son my last pregnancy at 34 weeks. I had anemia and placenta previa during first and second trimester but it recently resolved. My mom gave birth to me at 8 months and my sister at 7 months. I have been getting braxton hicks a ton since 27 weeks they are strong at times. What are the chances i will give birth preterm? When
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Though preterm labor may not run in families, as you had previous history of preterm labor there is some possibility in this pregnancy also.
So you better take sufficient bed rest, hydration.
You can go for examinations like febronectin levels in blood, urine microscopy, vaginal swab examination etc.
You can go for tocolytics if your doctor recommends.
