Hi Jinu,

Thanks for writing in.
In pregnancy what is most important thing is to eat right at right time. Because whatever you eat is responsible for baby's growth directly.

As your baby weight is less; you should eat following things mainly.
Eggs, liver, fish couple of times in week. Eat fruit every day; this is healthy and good and they provide lot of vitamins. Have colorful vegetables as salad as well as main course.

Yogurt: Cup for cup, yummy yogurt contains as much calcium as milk and it's packed with protein and folic acid too.
Do add spinach and nuts in diet.

Have daily tender coconut water which helps to maintain normal amniotic fluid levels.

For special iron rich food: Red meat; Egg yolks;Dark, leafy greens (spinach, collards);Dried fruit;(prunes, raisins);Iron-enriched cereals and grains (check the labels);Mollusks (oysters, clams, scallops);Turkey or chicken giblets;Beans, lentils, chick peas and soybeans;Liver - are best.

I hope I have answered your query. In case of any doubt; feel free to revert back.
Best regards,
Dr. Neelam.
