Pregnant. Taking Maltofer And Chewcal. Had Undergone Blood Transfusion. HGB Level Low. What Should Be Done?
hi. my wife is pregnant her 8th month has been started from 12 april. on 9th april her hgb was 7.3 and doctor advised for blood transfusion and she was transfused 2 point of blood on 11th and 12th april. after one week yesterday on 18th april her hgb was 8.8. she is taking Maltofer tablet(100 mg ironas Iron(III)-hydroxide polymaltose complex and 0.35mg folic acid) and chewcal 400mg elemental(calcium+vitaminD). we both are very disturbed what should she do?

First of all you both have patience and not to worry.
You have to do these thing-
1)Visit to gynae every 15days or in a wk. as and when required for checkup.
2)Continue with your drugs and start taking vitamin-C in a form of lime water.
3)Start taking food which are rich in its iron content like leafy vegetable,jaggery etc.
4)Take proper rest and proper diet.
Everything will be fine.
