Pregnant. Tender Breasts, Tiredness, Yolk Sac, Gestational Sac Seen, Corpus Luteum With In Adnexa. What Does This Mean?

Hi,
I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and at 5 weeks i requested a U/S scan as i was feeling as though something wasnt quiet right within my pregnancy all symptoms such as tender breast, tiredness and bright positive line where all fading.
I had both scans eg Veginal etc and 2 opinions during scan and both tech's and doctors finding where as follows...

There is a small gestational sac within the uterine lumen containing a yolk sac but no embryonic pole. The ac is slightly flattened. The mean sac diameter of 2cm corresponds with a gestational stage of approx 7 weeks but no cardiac activity or definite embryonic pole is demonstrated. Some debris within the sac is noted. The cervix measures 4.1cm. There is a 2.0cm corpus luteum withiin the right adnexa.

Can someone please give me a straight answer as to what any of this means?.
My doctor just booked me for another scan and i have no idea what is going on.

Thanks.

Hi,
The ultrasound report at 5 weeks pregnancy, according to you, the size of the sac was found to be 7 weeks ,indicating possibility of an early conception.
Usually the cardiac activity is seen by 7 weeks pregnancy.
The shape of the sac, abscense of fetal pole& absent cardiac activity at 7 weeks sounds abnormal.
Because of the discrepancy between pregnancy period calculated by last menstrual date & the reading of ultrasound scan-the doctor has planned for second USG scan . this will rule out the possible error & give a confirmed diagnosis.
Please don't be tense. wait for the next scan.
Thank you.

Hi,
Your sonogram report indicates that the pregnancy has stopped growing. It could be a missed abortion. Definite confirmation of the diagnosis is based on the declining titres of serum beta-hCG, disappearance of the symptoms of pregnancy, irregular gestation sac with failure to note the fetal pole and cardiac activity even with repeat high resolution sonogram. So, please wait for the result of your next sonogram and hope for the best. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
