Pregnant. US Shows Baby In Breech Position. C-section Suggested. Need Opinion

i am 36 weeks pregnant and my u/s shows that my baby is in breech position and the umbilical cord has one lobe around my baby s neck but the heart beat was fine and stable my dr. suggests a c- section after 2 weeks . i need your opinion and if there is some steps that i can do to help my baby solve this problem . thank you

Thanks for your query.You have not mentioned whether this is your first pregnancy or are you multipara.You are 36 weeks pregnant and your recent scanning shows Breech presentation with umbilical cord with one twist around the neck.It is not a rule that all the mothers with breech presentation had to undergo C-section.Even a baby with twisting of the umbilical core around neck will be normal if it is long enough and does not get compressed during labor.So you can expect a normal delivery You can go for trial of normal delivery and be prepared for C-section in case of developing any complication.
