Hello Doctor, I am anita pokharel from Kathmandu, Nepal. I did my urine test and confirmed that i am pregnant couple of days ago. Tomorrow I am having check up with gynecologist . Actually, I want to know. what are the early symptoms of pregnancy. And what are the foods that i should eat during pregnancy also what are the precautions that i should take during my first stage of pregnancy. hope to get back yours reply soon. Thank you.
You should start with protein rich diet as you need extra 350 kcal/ day than usual intake, milk & dairy products, leafy vegetables & fruits, Cereals/ nuts/dals/pulses, drink lots of fluid/water.
Continue Folic acid/ Vitamin supplements, avoid long journey/ heavy work, maintain personal hygiene, take adequate rest and repeat scan after 4 wk for detailed feto-placental well being.
Do periodic check up to your doctor and undergo suggestive investigations. Be well.
