Get an ultrasound done to see the cardiac activity at 6 weeks of pregnancy
Till then get your blood test done for HCG levels , if they are dropping means it is missed abortion
If they are increasing means it is threatened abortion and you have to take strict bed rest along with progesterone and HCG Inj under your doctor's guidance

At the outset, let me tell you that spotting in early pregnancy is a common symptom with many people, reasons being many. So, do not panic. I advice you to visit a gynaecologist, get a pregnancy test and a checkup done along with a sonogram. Your doctor gave you a progesterone supplement that helps to sustain pregnancy, but additional care is needed as you have pain also. Avoid bearing excess weight, intercourse and take bed rest.
