Pregnant, Bitter Taste On Tongue, Lips. Taking Augmentin, Alkaliser Cital For UTI. Treatment?
I am on fourth month of my first pregnancy, until two days back I was on medication for UTI which included havy dosage of antibiotic Augmentin (625 mg x 3) and alkaliser cital. I was alto taking progesterone capsules named Miprogen 400mg x 2 for last three months, as per advise of my gync. No more am I taking any medicines. however for past one month I have developed a bitter taste on my tongue and lips which is quite troublesome for me as I am unable to eat or drink properly, kindly guide.

As you have an urinary tract infection, so it is necessary to take antibiotics. But in pregnancy we have to use drugs with caution. Augmentine is such drug which has no bad effect in pregnancy. And, it has some side effects like metallic test, gastric problem, etc. There is no instant remedy for it. You have to complete the course.
And one more thing you have to take more water.
