Pregnant, Brown Bleeding. Ultrasound Done, Heart Beat Present. What Does Fluid In Placenta Mean?
Hello, my concern is I started to bleed/spot dark brown on thursday .. I went for an u/s on Friday and the baby was ok and heart beating but the dr told me I had a cystic space (fluid) in my placenta .. what exactly does that mean .. she just told me to take it easy and not do any strenouis activities in which i really hadn t anyway but im a little concerned??

A cyst is an bubble like lesion which may contain either blood or fluids from the surrounding tissues.
This is not dangerous as it does not cause any problem to the foetus unless it ruptures and oozes out the blood and fluid.This rupture can occur when there straneous work causing pressure over the placenta.
