Pregnant Feeling Spasms In The Lower Abdomen And Vagina. Sagged Vaginal Lips. Tried Kegel Exercise. Concerned

Hi, I am 23 weeks and 6 days pregnant. For the past two weeks or so I've been feeling these strange spasms in my lower abdomen and my vaginal area. Almost like a contraction. They do no hurt and I have not had any accompanying symptoms such as bleeding. I've tried drinking more water, thinking it could be dehydration and have monitored these sensations. They are not painful, they just catch me by surprise whenever I have them. They have been consistent for the past two weeks or so. Just this morning, I noticed that one of my vaginal lips have sagged and is now lower than the other. I have tried doing kegel exercises in an effort to perhaps reverse this sag. Are these symptoms something I should be concerned about at this stage of pregnancy? I visited with my doctor last week who checked my cervix. I believed it measured 4.2 and she said this was good.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
With advancing gestational age braxtonhicks contractions can occur.
They will be painless and usually subside without need of any medications.
So no need to worry, they are part of physiological process.
Sometimes edema also be noticed in the dependent parts, that may be reason for your labial sagging down.
Take rest preferably in left lateral position and with foot end elevation. That can possibly help in relieving the symptoms. No need of any specific treatment. Regular followups are enough.
